Mother's Day Tea Party
This year, we are celebrating Mother’s Day with a tea party that brings the whole family together. It is the kind of gathering that works across generations, where everyone can sit down, slow the pace, and share the table in a way that feels intentional and warm. A tea party also just feels fancy and feminine, which is an added bonus for a day celebrating women!

Why a Tea Party Works for Mother’s Day
A tea party is one of those gatherings that adapts beautifully to your intention. You can celebrate a special occasion or enjoy a casual sit down. Group size doesn’t affect your ability to converse, and you have the flexibility of not being locked in for a sit down meal. You can try different tea flavors and share your opinions and preferences when trying all the handheld bites, which keeps the focus on conversation and togetherness. It’s a great opportunity for a sweet shared experience.
A Table Made for Gathering
For this Mother’s Day tea party, we leaned into a blend of vintage charm and modern simplicity. A tea party invites you to linger; to refill cups, pass plates, and stay a little longer than planned. That feeling guided every choice we made styling this event. . The table was designed to welcome conversation and connection, and to be interacted with, not just admired. We mixed and matched our tea cups , and layered plates with intention. Soft, loose florals set the tone, and delicate textures layered throughout the table kept it feeling special and engaging. The table felt elevated but still comfortable enough for everyone to enjoy, from the youngest to the oldest.
The Heart of the Celebration
At its core, this Mother’s Day tea party is about gratitude. So many of our memories live in kitchens and around tables. Long conversations, familiar recipes, laughter, and the simple act of being together. For so many of us those memories were manufactured by the mothers in our lives. Creating a Mother’s Day tea party feels like a natural way to honor the women who have poured so much into our families, by sitting down and spending time with them. Gathering around the table will always be our favorite way to say thank you. That’s where we find the joy in gathering.
