Spider Skewers

Ingredients

  • Cubes of cheese

  • Fresh blackberries

  • Spider rings (optional, age appropriate)

Instructions
Skewer two cubes of cheese with a blackberry in between. If age appropriate, place a spider ring between the blackberry and one cheese cube to create the illusion of a spider body.

Banana Ghosts

Ingredients

  • Bananas

  • Cocoa nibs or mini chocolate chips

Instructions
Slice bananas in half, then lengthwise. Trim the cut edge into a zigzag or wavy pattern. Press cocoa nibs or mini chocolate chips into the banana to form eyes and a mouth.

Deviled Eggs with Spiders

Ingredients

  • Deviled eggs

  • Large black olives

Instructions
Cut one olive in half lengthwise. Place one half, cut side down, on top of a deviled egg. Slice the remaining half into thin slivers and arrange as legs on either side of the “spider body.”

Cutie Pumpkins

Ingredients

  • Mandarins or Cuties

  • Celery stalks

Instructions
Peel the mandarins and insert a small celery stick into the center opening to resemble a pumpkin stem.

Monster Apples

Ingredients

  • Apples

  • Nut butter

  • Strawberries, sliced

  • Candy eyes

  • Sunflower seeds

Instructions
Cut a horizontal wedge from one side of the apple to form an open “mouth.” Spread a dab of nut butter inside, then press in a strawberry slice as the “tongue.” Use nut butter to adhere candy eyes above the opening, and insert sunflower seeds along the top “lip” for teeth.
