Ingredients:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
2 teaspoons kosher salt
2 cups buttermilk
½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 450°F.
Add flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt to a mixing bowl. Use a whisk dry ingredients.
Pour in the buttermilk and stir until mostly combined, do not to overwork the dough.
Pour the melted butter into an 8×8-inch baking pan. Place the dough on top of the butter and use a spatula to evenly spread the dough into the pan.
Cut the unbaked dough into 9 squares.
Bake for 28 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
